Toy Show Treats
The children were delighted to receive party packs to enjoy as they watch the Late Late Toy Show. A huge thank you to the Parents Association for providing these wonderful treats.
Christmas Shoe Box Appeal
The Christmas Shoe Box appeal is a project run by the Irish charity Team Hope dedicated to sharing the joy of Christmas with children living in some of the poorest parts of the world. The children at Togher N.S. are delighted to support The Christmas Shoe Box appeal.
Halloween Treats
After the soup and brown bread the children enjoyed some wonderful Halloween treats. Many thanks to Viktoriya (Teja’s mum) for these delicious, spooky cakes
Pumpkin Soup and Brown Bread
The children enjoyed the pumpkin soup and brown bread during our Halloween Feast. It’s always a great occasion when everyone is together eating and chatting in the same room.
Pumpkin Soup Recipe: Preparation time: 15 to 30 minutes. Ingredients 750g pumpkin diced, 250g potatoes diced, 3 medium onions diced, 3 chicken stock cubes, 840ml water, 250ml thickened cream, salt and pepper.
Place all ingredients except cream in a large saucepan. Simmer until vegetables are tender. Remove from heat. Blend with stick blender until smooth. Add cream and stir through (do not boil after adding cream) Season to taste.

Happy Halloween
We welcomed ghosts, ghouls, witches, dinosaurs and many other strange creatures to Togher N.S. for our Halloween Party. A huge thank you to all those that helped the children with their wonderful creative costumes. We hope you enjoy our Halloween video.
Pumpkin Soup and Brown Bread
This week the children in the Senior Room were busy preparing and chopping vegetables as we got ready for the Samhain feast. The sound of chopping was soon replaced by the wonderful smell of brown bread and pumpkin soup.
