Alex Petcu and Clare O’Keeffe from West Cork Music visited our school today, to present Bangers and Crash Percussion.  

They gave us a fun, interactive workshop.  They showed us many instruments including the marimba, ocean drums, spring drum, the whip and snare drum.  The class selected the marimba as their favourite instrument. The marimba is like a huge xylophone. They also showed us how to make music using our body by clapping, stamping, clicking  and rubbing our fingers,

We really enjoyed it and only wish they could have stayed for longer.
