Irish plays

irish playsWe learn Irish by doing little Irish plays.  Our first Irish play was “Cochaillīn Dearg”.  The characters in that play were Mamaī, Daidī, Cochaillīn Dearg, Mactīre agus Mamó.  However everyone had a part to play as each group had to act the play.  Our favourite part was when Mamó chased the Mactīre away.

Our second play was “Hansel agus Gretel”.  This was our Halloween play because there was a witch in it.  When we were doing this play our teacher was acting like a witch.  Some of us thought she should have acted the part of the witch in the play.  But Michaela and I played the part of the witch.

The next play was called “Ar Scoil”.  We only had three people in the play.  They were Seán, Mūinteoir agus Mamaī.  We really enjoy the Irish plays and we are learning a lot of oral Irish.  Read more about our plays on the next blog.
