Animal Magic

On the 6th of February Rosie & Denis from Animal Magic visited our school. They brought exotic animals such as tortoises, a skunk, bearded dragon lizards, a barn owl and snakes. Adam was the red foot tortoise. He will live for approximately 150 years. Both tortoises are herbivores.

Most of the children hoped that Cody the skunk would not spray them! He can spray objects up to 5m away! Skunks live in Mexico, America and Canada. Bearded dragons live in sand and rocks. Their skin feels like sand and rocks. They have three eyes, two on the side of their heads and one on top. Male & female dragons can be told apart as the males have warts!

We were told that there are less than 400 pairs of barn owls in Ireland. They can live up to three years in the wild. We saw a python and a boa constrictor. We were delighted as they allowed us to touch these creatures.
We hope they will return in the near future.
