Confirmation 2021
Congratulations to our former pupils who will receive the sacrament of Confirmation in St. Patrick’s Church, Dunmanway tomorrow.
The initial date was set for the 27th of April 2020 but was postponed due to Covid. I hope they and their families will have a wonderful day tomorrow.

Doheny Athletic Club
Notice from Doheny Athletic Club –
In Door Training will start on Tuesday 2nd November from 7.00 pm to 8.00 pm sharp
(This will be held in the Sports Hall – Behind Galvin’s
€2 charge each night of training
€5 charge for family of 3 and over
Training is for Age 8 upwards
Children will have to be dropped and collected at the entrance door
Doheny Athletic Club are Looking for parents to help out as a lot of children are attending.
MICC Zoom meeting
We had the pleasure of ‘meeting’ Mr Murphy the principal of MICC and Ms Mead via Zoom. It was great to chat with them about the warm welcome and fantastic opportunities that await them in @MICCDunmanway. Due to Covid-19 restrictions they were unable to have a traditional Open Night so it has moved online. The MICC Virtual Open Night has already taken place and our current 6th class found it very helpful.

Science Award
We are delighted to announce that were awarded another plaque for our Science, Maths, Engineering and Technology (S.T.E.M.) work in Togher N.S.
We provided evidence of children’s engagement with STEM in the following areas:

2 Technology
3 Engineering
4 Maths
5 STEM Showcase
We have been very busy undertaking science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) work in school. We had to submit a comprehensive portfolio with evidence of our work which included reports, powerpoints, photos, videos and drawings. We were delighted they acknowledged the exceptional standard of our submission.
All classes made a huge contribution to our submission.

The quiz challenger question was related to the material in the webinar. The class with the most correct answers at the end of the webinar series will win a class prize of a trip to Dublin Zoo, Ireland’s number one family attraction.!

You will need:
A leak proof glass jar with a lid / plastic bottle with lid (minimum capacity of 200 millilitres)
1-2 tbsp mashed banana (prepared in advance)
½ tablespoon of honey
100-150 ml of milk
