Miss Daly challenged the children to create a tower using skewers and marshmallows. Construction challenges provide a fantastic opportunity to development a range of important skills: inventiveness, problem solving, creative thinking, perseverance, motivation, evaluation, editing and revision, analytical thinking and the use of a range of real life tools. It was wonderful to watch the children work collaboratively to find solutions to the challenge.

We had a fantastic time today at the FAI Schools Primary 5s. The wet weather didn’t stop the team from putting in some fantastic performances. Well done to all involved and a huge thank you to the parents that brought the children to the tournament.
We were delighted to welcome Garda Chris Brosnan to Togher N.S. this week. The Garda Schools Programme covers topics such as the role of the garda, vandalism, investigating crime, road safety, personal safety and internet safety. 
The old tradition of making St. Bridget’s Crosses is alive and well here at Togher N.S. It was wonderful to watch the older children helping the younger children to master the tricky techniques involved.
