We were delighted to celebrateWorld Book Day today.

Children in senior classes presented their favourite book to the class.

Over the last 20 years World Book Day has become firmly established as Ireland’s biggest annual event promoting the enjoyment of books and reading. The main aim is to encourage children to explore the pleasure of books and reading by providing them with an opportunity to have a book of their own.

Each child has been given a voucher to the value of €1.50 to encourage the purchase of a book.

The World Book Day Book Tokens are valid until Sunday 31st of March.
